The Rock's Best Kept Secret Scones like your grandmother used to make. Here at Tara Tea Room we do one thing and one thing only, SCONES!! and many people tell us we have the best scones in Sydney. Every Saturday and Sunday we do at least 4 different types of scones. All cooked fresh on premises all day, check our famous scone clock out the front to see when the next batch is out of the oven.
Opening Hours - We are open every Saturday and Sunday from 10am - 5pm.

We specialise in scones and tea. We bake scones fresh all day in a variety of flavours. All our tea is served in tea pots with beautiful tea cosies.

About us - In the rear courtyard of the Irish Design Shop lies The Rocks' best kept secret, "Tara Tea Rooms"; A traditional tea house, serving soul-warming snacks, imported Irish teas and coffees. In our 130 year old heritage listed building.
We specialise in "Devonshire tea" (scones and tea or coffee), and bake all our scones fresh on premises daily. Our scones are light and delicious and available in different flavours. They are served warm with real double thick cream and jams. They are perfect with a cup of Barrys Irish tea, served loose in a pot with a green tea cosy.
Bookings-
Due to the size of the tea room we can not take bookings for more than 4 people. We do however have a large room upstairs that can be booked for 10 or more.
