How Many scones do we get?
You and your guests can have as many scones as you like. Whenever you run out or would like more of a particular flavour just let our staff know and we will bring some more out straight away. Same goes for the condiments, endless scones, jam, cream chutneys etc.

What type of scones are served?
For your function 4 different types of scones will be served. They are as follows- 
1. Plain scones, the classic. Served with double thickened cream and strawberry jam. By far our most popular variety. 
2. Cheese scones. For the savoury fans, this is served with fruit chutney and butter. 
3. Fruit scones. We change this one around a bit and normally serve one of the following - Date, Raisin, Raisin and Apricot or Date and Apricot. Served with double thick cream and jam.
4. Sweet scones. We are always experimenting with this one as there is a world of choices here. Our most popular sweet scones at the moment are Date and caramel, maple syrup and honeycomb chocolate. Served with double thick cream and jam.

What kind of drinks can we have?
You and your guests can have any drinks you like from the menu, and as many as you want, but please note we are not licensed. We have regular cafe drinks such as cold drinks, milk shakes, lattes, flat whites, chai lattes etc, and ofcourse TEAS!! All our teas are served loose leaf in tea pots with tea cosies.

I have booked for 10 people but what if only 8 turn up?
The minimum cost of our tea parties is $150, so if only 8 people turn up you will still be charged for 10.

It's my birthday, can i bring a cake? is there cakeage?
There is no cakeage and we will be happy to store your cake for you downstairs. 

My second cousin Mildred is gluten intolerant, do you offer anything for her?
The tea room is all about naughty food that is delicious and decadent, so unfortunately we do not have anything gluten free. You are welcome to bring something in for this person, but they will still be charged the full rate.



In the upstairs room in our 135 year old premises we hold "Tea Parties" that are a nice alternative to "high tea" functions. The room seats 10-18 people and the menu consists of endless scones in 4 different varieties, and botomless tea and coffee. All tea is served in pots with tea cosies and the scones are freshly baked for the funtion. There is also a knitting basket, which is a fun activety for everyone who has ever tried knitting.
