Traditionally the "Quaich", which originated in the celtic highlands was used both for a "Cup of welcome" and also when offering a farewell drink. Lugh was the most honored of the Irish gods. He was renowned for his multitude of talents and skills. The quaich is used as a loving cup in Scotland and is given as a gift at weddings and christenings and many other occasions. In modern times it has been used in weddings for the bride and groom to toast there union. This Quaich measures 18cm from handle to handle. This would make an ideal gift, or a wedding day accessory.
